Rose Bowletin - Week  4

Let conference play begin!

While college football is unique from the pro game in the fact that every game counts, conference play is what matters the most. This season started with a few unusually early conference games, like Ohio State opening the season at Indiana and Stanford taking on USC in week two, but this week marks the conference opener for most teams.

The biggest Big Ten game of the week has Penn State lined up for a night game at Iowa. The Hawkeyes have won their last four games under the lights at Kinnick Stadium, including a 14-13 win over No. 2 Michigan last year. The Nittany Lions have moved back into the top-four this week in both the AP and Coaches' Poll, but haven't been challenged in their first three games.

In Pac-12 country, Washington and Colorado meet in Boulder to play a rematch of the 2016 conference title game. The Huskies and Buffs cruised through their opening three games and are both moving at full speed into this matchup.

There are only two games this week featuring two ranked teams, including TCU at Oklahoma State. If you like high-scoring, back-and-forth, throwing the ball all over the field-type games, tune into the Horned Frogs and Cowboys.

Take a look at the action leading into the weekend games, including a Pac-12 matchup on Friday night:

South Carolina State at NC Central, 4:30 pm, ESPNU

Temple at South Florida, 4:30 pm, ESPN

Friday, September, 22

Virginia at Boise State, 5 pm, ESPN2

Utah at Arizona, 7:30 pm, FS1
