Another week down, another step closer to the bowl season. Week eight was a metaphorical bulldozer, clearing the rubbish of teams like Louisville, LSU and Clemson from the road to the BCS National Championship. At the same time, week eight was a trampoline for Florida State, who jumped Oregon on itsway to the No. 2 spot in the BCS rankings and for Miami, Missouri and Baylor who all now find themselves in the top 10.

Could week nine hold the same fate? It doesn't appear that five top ten teams could lose again, but there are four matchups of top ten teams against ranked opponents. Then again, the BCS rankings tend to encourage teams to not only win, but win with "style points," so look for some potentially big numbers on scoreboards across the country this week.

As for tonight, here's what you can look forward to:

Kentucky at Mississippi State, 4:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)

Marshall at Middle Tennessee, 4:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. ET (FS1)

Fight On!, On Wisconsin, and BEAR DOWN!

Have a great weekend,
